Lakeview Storm - Fall

$21.00 Sold Out

Lakeview Storm is one of those dahlias that looks different every time the light hits it. The blooms move through smoky raspberry, coral, deep pink, and warm orange tones, creating a rich color blend that feels almost like an autumn sunset captured in a flower.

Its informal decorative form gives the blooms a wonderfully loose, slightly wild appearance. The petals twist and curl rather than sitting perfectly in place, creating a shaggy texture that brings movement to the cutting bucket. At approximately 4–6 inches across, Lakeview Storm has enough size to work as a focal flower without becoming difficult to design with.

In our market bouquets, this is the kind of dahlia I reach for when I want warmth and depth at the same time. It pairs beautifully with peach, blush, dusty rose, burgundy, rust, mauve, cream, and deeper raspberry tones. Because the bloom itself carries several colors, it can often become the flower that pulls an entire bouquet together.

For our local florists, Lakeview Storm offers more than just beautiful color. The plants produce dark, wiry stems that create gorgeous contrast against the warmer blooms, and the loose petals add movement alongside more structured ball and formal decorative dahlias. Floret specifically highlights those tall plants and dark stems as being excellent for arranging.

I especially love Lakeview Storm for wedding work. It can move beautifully from late-summer peach and blush palettes into richer fall combinations of wine, rust, raspberry, and burgundy. The color feels romantic without being overly pastel, and the informal petals keep the flower looking garden-grown rather than too polished.

The plants are also known for strong production. The Farmhouse Flower Farm calls Lakeview Storm one of their favorite dahlias to grow and specifically notes its prolific blooming habit—exactly the kind of trait that matters when market bouquets, florist orders, and weddings are all competing for stems.

What I appreciate most about Lakeview Storm is that it brings so many things together in one flower: complex color, movement, dark stems, strong production, and a bloom size that is genuinely useful.

For the gardener who loves smoky sunset color, loose textured petals, and a dahlia that performs beautifully in the cutting garden, Lakeview Storm is a standout variety to grow.
